Carl J. Sabo
Head of School
Mr. Carl J. Sabo joined St. Bernard Academy in 2006 from St. Anthony School in Manchester, New Hampshire. His educational background includes service in Catholic schools as a teacher, coach, school administrator and college advancement officer. With a background in business as well as in education, Mr. Sabo feels equal to the task of leading St. Bernard Academy. The Academy boasts of a long standing proud academic tradition and a tremendous history of service, thanks to the commitment of the Sisters of Mercy.
Robert McGehee
Assistant Head of School
Mr. Robert McGehee is the newest member to the SBA faculty and staff. He has been involved with educational programming for children for over 20 years and holds a master's degree in elementary education that he earned forom Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. He comes to St. Bernard Academy having been the Uper School Director at St. Paul's School in Mobile, AL, where he worked as an administrator for the past 4 years managing a faculty of sixty and a student population of 500. Mr. McGehee also had the opportunity to teach a wide range of subjects and grades including 6th and 7th grade English, Writing Workshop, and a self-contained 4th grade classroom. |
